Hello,
My name is Aude
Enchantée... I am glad you are here.
I am French and have been living in England for over 20 years now. I am the mother of two awesome teenagers (slightly bias?!) and a Therapist for over 10 years.
My career made a full circle towards mental health; starting with being an Occupational Therapist in Psychiatry my 20s then Corporate Sales in my 30s and now as a Therapist where I feel at home again.
From a young age I have always been fascinated and inquisitive about the human brain and the mind partly my way of making sense of my personal challenges as a child and young adult in a difficult environment.
I am also grateful for my 25 years passion for surfing mostly all over Europe mostly (hence the many pics of the ocean) and the many years of martial arts practice under my belt (even at 5ft2) both passions contribute to my mental wellbeing and joy for life.
I believe my multicultural background, colourful life experiences, no nonsense approach and resilience help me connect empathically and enable me to offer a realistic, safe and optimistic approach with my clients, their struggles and their hidden or unbeknown inner strengths.
Who am I as a Therapist ?
I am a multi-disciplinary Therapist because every client is unique and comes with unique needs so there are no cookie cutter or mould to fit into....
Just turn up to your session and be yourself.
I am a Psychotherapist. Transformational Coach and Hypnotherapist registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and the National Council of Hypnotherapy and follow their ethical guidelines.
My 10 years of professional experience includes working in specialist schools, colleges, private practice and charities, with a wide range of mental health difficulties including anxiety, depression, childhood or adult trauma, self-esteem, ADHD/ADD, emotional eating, relationships, LGBTQ+ challenges, workplace issues and bereavement.
My multi-disciplinary approach is tailored to my client's individual needs and mind states. This incorporates humanistic, person-centred, psychodynamic, life coaching, Gestalt, CBT modalities, hypnotherapy, meditation and mindfulness.
You may wish to opt for a therapeutic or coaching treatment plan depending on your personal goals and needs. In our work together I offer a safe environment to explore and understand your mind's work, feelings, thoughts and behaviours, enabling you to make empowered choices. Your coaching plan offers you the practical tools and techniques tailored to your needs to implement those changes.
Considering therapy may feel daunting for most people so please do contact me and I will be happy to answer any questions you may have about how the process works.
This a safe and calm approach rooted in compassion and understanding to fit your needs, difficulties and concerns.
